Short drama ‘Hedieh’ has scooped award from two international film festivals in London and Italy.
Directed and written by Sahar Sotoudeh, ‘Hedieh’ took home Best Narrative Short Award from Diamond Film Awards in Italy.
With the mission to promote films and to help filmmakers to improve their careers, the Italian gala shortlisted ‘Hedieh’ as one of the January winners of the event.
Sunday Shorts, as the international monthly short film festival and script competition, in London has also named ‘Hedieh’ among its February 2019 winners, bestowing Jury Award to the short.
‘Hedieh’ is about a girl named Hedieh who escapes school bus. And there the problems arise.
Among international film events hosted ‘Hedieh’ before are the 11th Post Alley Festival in Seattle, 8th edition of the Saint Cloud Film Festival in the US state of Minnesota, 10th Lobo Fest in Brazil, 15th Kinofilm Manchester Int’l Film Festival and, last but not the least, 19th edition of the Izmir Int’l Short Film Festival in Turkey.
